The Central Coast Marine Discovery Centre is volunteer run and is supported by the University of Newcstle Central Coast campus and the local council.

The Centre has exhibits as well as live creatures on display, including seahorses, urchins, and an octopus. There are also have programs including occassional talks by researchers, movies, fish feeding, snorkelling adventures and rockpool walks.

There is a gift shop and a cafe on-site.

The Centre is open on weekends and during NSW school holidays (except 25-26 and 31 December, 1 and 26 January). Admission fees apply.
