Gardens for Wildlife

  • Multiple Locations

Have you ever wondered how to attract more wildlife to your urban paradise? Come along to a university location near you and find out!

Come along to a public lecture from one of our scientists, talking about the best ways to encourage wildlife to visit your garden. (Hint: it's not putting out birdseed). Head on a walk around our campus to see what kind of plants attract birds - while recording your bird count on the Birdlife Australia app. At the end of the event head home with your very own seedling to nurture in your garden.

In metro locations, you'll also be able to meet & greet an endangered bird from Kaarakin Black Cockatoo Conservation Centre.

Taking place in 3 locations over August, with different speakers, so you can find one near you. Doors open at 9 am for a 9.30 am start.
