The course will teach you the fundamental skills and strategies of science writing. These skills are essential to conveying the fruits of scientific research to the media, government, research-funding bodies and the public.

This 90-minute workshop is perfect for researchers and managers. Among other things, it will equip you with the confidence and media savvy required to project messages clearly and simply.

This workshop includes hands-on training in preparing articles, features and illustrative material for in-house, local and international publications and the digital media.  You will learn valuable skills, including those needed to liaise with publishers and prepare successful pitches.

The 90-minute science-writing workshop starts at 1pm and ends at 2.30pm, Melbourne time.

Note that the fee includes reference materials and a one-month follow-up period during which advice and assistance may be sought on any aspect of the course.
