Bees, exotic plants pests and our booming cattle industry. Katherine High School students will discover them all at the Department of Industry, Tourism and Trade’s inaugural Katherine Research Science Spectacle event.

The event will build awareness of the myriad of career opportunities and pathways out there. Highlighting how thrilling a career in biosecurity in the bush can be. Students will become pseudo-biosecurity officers for the day. Daring to explore the exotic threats lurking at our front door and the crucial efforts to keep them in check.

We've got a lively day planned with some super cool prizes, engaging hands-on activities and even a visit from some world-class working dogs.
