Women in STEM Lecture Series

  • From

For National Science Week, the University of Adelaide is hosting a series of 3 lectures by women working or studying in STEM.

You will have the opportunity to hear from our amazing guest speakers who will share their life journeys and how they are connected with STEM. The lectures will be held at the University of Adelaide's North Terrace Campus and will also be streamed live for those that aren’t able to attend in person.

We are collaborating with Take Two, a female owned and run film production company to record each lecture. The videos will be made freely available as ongoing resources to add to the profile of amazing women working in STEM.

For in-person attendees, the lecture will be hosted in the Ingkarni Wardli Conference Room (level 7) and followed by an activity.

Lecture 1 (Tuesday) will be delivered by guest speaker Daniela Nuțu-Gajić.

Daniela is a Romanian-Australian chess Woman Grandmaster. Daniela represented Romania in seven Chess Olympiads, winning five medals, including two individual gold medals. She has a degree in Information Technology and now works in IT and coaches chess.

Information about Lectures 2 and 3 will be released soon.

Register using the Book Now link for both online and in-person attendance.
