Dr Graham’s Energy Explorers – Science show and wearable wind turbines workshop

In this fun and interactive session, we’ll explore how Canberra’s energy is changing in an exciting science show, then get hands-on making model wind turbines! Through amazing and sometimes explosive science demonstrations we’ll learn how fuels like natural gas can be replaced with electricity, plus discover groovy low-emission high-fun new tech like electric skateboards and other vehicles. In the second part of the session, we’ll get all DIY making model “Wearable Wind-Turbines” you can take home afterwards! This ANU Centre for the Public Awareness of Science community engagement project is presented with assistance from the ACT Government under the Community Zero Emissions Grants Program.

Ages 6+ (kids may need a guardian’s assistance/supervision in the hands-on workshop)
