The students at Lyrebird College have been learning about endangered animals across the world. They have discovered what it means for an animal to be endangered, how individual species became endangered and what scientists are doing to help boost population numbers. Our science week expo has seen all three classes put together displays of different endangered animals and create their own museum. Grandparents, parents and special friends have all been invited to attend the endangered animals museum and participate in some science activities, including planting blue gum seeds, untangling fishing line and various craft activities to create awareness of what we can do to assist endangered animals.
