National Science Week Showcase at the Forrest Research Foundation

The Forrest Research Foundation are welcoming families for National Science Week.

  • Get hands-on: building chemical models, seeing how gravity waves work, checking out 3D printed hearts, and getting up close with marine animal skeletons. 
  • Try a virtual reality station where you can journey inside molecules or watch the universe being born.
  • Step in front of our greenscreen and become part of amazing pictures of everything from atoms to galaxies.
  • Chat with scientists about their awesome research. We're even teaming up with Scitech, so their awesome educators will be there with even more experiments and demos!

The Mission of the Forrest Research Foundation is to create a world-leading collaborative centre of research and scholarship in Western Australia.  The Foundation supports over 60 PhD scholars and postdoctoral fellows and their families, who bring their talents and creativity from all parts of the world to Western Australia to conduct ground-breaking research.

Located on the bank of the Swan River by UWA, Forrest Hall is easily accessed by bus from the city (950 and 995 routes). Parking is also available along Matilda Bay and in front of the UWA sports complex. Forrest Hall is accessible by wheelchair from the Hackett Drive side of the building. But a lift is also available in the Wonil Hotel from the UWA boat shed side.
