Our ‘Be a Scientist Immersion Day’ will run for a whole kinder day and involve our four, 3 and 4 year old, groups. 

On various days throughout science week each class will split into 4 small groups and rotate through a series of fun, hands on experiments, scientist role-based play and scientific investigations.  The activities will include dressing up as scientists, performing experiments to learn about the spread of germs, investigating the natural world, simple science experiments using household items and listening to science related story/ fact books. Children will learn to associate the science profession with exciting and fun opportunities to learn about their world. 

Play based science learning will promote curiosity and a sense of excitement about the world of STEM.  With plans to add science-based play, experiments and science story books into the regular kinder program.  Similarly, our exciting germ experiment will reinforce our centre’s hygiene and hand washing protocols.
