Fancy some bubbles and oysters with a side of science?

The plight of oyster reefs has been nearly invisible both locally and globally. “Bidhiinja – Restoring Our Oyster Reefs” is a travelling exhibition showing at the Jervis Bay Maritime Museum.

Join us for this special event that features "Bidhiinja - Restoring Our Reefs" and a talk from Jillian Keating (Oyster Reef Restoration, Department of Primary Industries). Top it all off with an oyster and sparkling wine tasting. Vegetarian cheese plate and non-alcoholic options will be available.

The exhibition has been co-created by DPI Fisheries and the Australian National Maritime Museum. It shares stories of these forgotten reefs by combining First Nations Knowledge, western science and stunning design work by Aboriginal artists.
