Fancy some champagne and oysters with a side of science?

The plight of oyster reefs has been nearly invisible both locally and globally. “Bidhiinja – Restoring Our Oyster Reefs” is a travelling exhibition showing at the Jervis Bay Maritime Museum.

Join us for this special event that features "Bidhiinja - Restoring Our Reefs" and a talk from Jillian Keating (DPI Oyster Reef Restoration). Top it all off with an oyster and champagne tasting. Vegetarian cheese plate and non-alcoholic options will be available.

The exhibition has been co-created by DPI Fisheries and the Australian National Maritime Museum. It shares stories of these forgotten reefs by combining First Nations Knowledge, western science and stunning design work by Aboriginal artists.

Learn about this fascinating habitat's cultural and ecological significance. Hear about a range of partners and how they are now working to restore these unique and vibrant habitats to our seascape map.

All ages are welcome.
