Boosting Attention and Memory for Better Learning with Neuroscientist, Dr Dana Bradford

  • - (AEST)

Are your students paying attention? Would you like to improve their retention and memory (or yours?) And how can this work for neurodiverse students?

Join our free Teacher Professional Learning webinar with CSIRO neuroscientist and TEDx presenter Dr Dana Bradford, as she explores the science behind memory and attention. Gain practical techniques to help students to focus better, retain more, and be more engaged in learning.

The session is broken into key topics with opportunities for participants to ask Dr Dana questions. It balances theory with helpful strategies to try in class.

Topics covered include:

  • key neuroscience fundamentals and neuroplasticity
  • the role of the prefrontal cortex and executive function
  • how the brain stores and retrieves information
  • multi-sensory approaches and context-dependent learning
  • strategies and activities to boost attention and memory.

This session is relevant for all educators, school administrators, those in student support roles, parents and community members who work with young people.
