  • Cedar Creek Ecofest Back to the Creek
1a Chardon Bridge Road, Cedar Creek QLD 4207, Australia

Cedar Creek is turning 150 years old.  We want to keep our school environment going for the next 150 years.  We have a sustainability focus in our local school assist the environment in local area.

Students are collecting data on their lunch box rubbish.  Investigations into " reuse "- materials that can be used more than once, or for more that one purpose.

Whole school focus to improve on the amount of landfill we produce.  The ECOFEST is an annual event and our students work towards it in term 3 each year.  Land usage, local estates developing and urban issues are also a focus, where do the native animals go when their land is developed?

The activities are all related to conservation of our local area and predicting changes in the future.  What materials are best to use for storing, carrying and transporting people, places and things.

We have water and soil testing as well as a rubbish audit.  We are proud of our school and welcome visitors to our event, especially past students and staff.
