Ever wondered what people might eat in the future? Well, wonder no more because we're diving into the exciting world of edible insects! Crickets, mealworms, and other bugs could be on your plate, and trust us, they're delicious!
- Learn About Future Foods: Including algae & seaweed, cellular agriculture, water technologies and innovative plant-based options.
- Introduction to Insect Protein: We'll start with an awesome intro to edible insects. Learn why these critters are becoming food superheroes – packed with protein, good for the environment, and super tasty!
- Tasting Adventure: Purchase an optional edible insect tasting pack before the event. During the workshop, we'll guide you through a fun tasting session. Crunchy crickets, savory mealworms – you'll try them all!
- Science Fun: It's National Science Week! We'll explore why eating insects is cool and how it helps save our planet. Discover how insects are farmed, what makes them nutritious, and why they're the food of the future.
You'll need a computer or tablet with internet access. We will use Zoom as our online platform.
