Are you interested in coding and electronics?

This National Science Week STEMM workshop is for girls and non-binary persons aged 10 to 16. This 5-week beginner workshop will show you the fundamentals of coding and electronics using Arduino kits.

You will learn the basics of controlling lights, light sensors and motors. We will show you how to program these using sub-routines, Boolean logic and the ardublock add-on. You will have your own Arduino kit and access to our IT suite to use in the sessions.

Our trained staff and volunteers will support you in these hands-on, guided workshops at your own learning pace. At the end of 5 weeks, you will have built a foundational understanding of coding and electronics. After this, you will have the option to enrol in more advanced workshops to expand your knowledge and skills further.

Workshops will run each Monday for 5 weeks between 5 August and 2 September 2024:

  • Monday 5 August
  • Monday 12 August
  • Monday 19 August
  • Monday 26 August
  • Monday 2 September
