Get caught at Herring Island with Australian Institute of Landscape Architects (ALIA).
Welcome to all our return and new working busy bees! AILA Fresh is excited to kick off another trip to Herring Island. We have some wonderful tube stock to plant on the day that has been expertly selected to fit with this unique ecosystem. AILA Fresh will join the Friends of Herring Island for a conservation day to weed and plant native shrubs and grasses on the island.
Not only is it great use of your time, but it is also an invaluable opportunity to learn about the science and engineering involved in the rehabilitation and conservation management of the island and help with the planting.
Food and drinks provided by AILA volunteers.
Please wear closed-toe shoes and a hat for safety and sun protection.
Registration essential. Limited places are available.
Meeting point is Parks Victoria Burnley Depot, Barkly Avenue, Richmond
