Can’t make it to the Festival? The jewel in HISH’s National Science Week crown is hosting world expert on orangutan conservation, Dr Birute Galdikas, at the Civic Theatre on Tuesday 6 August 2024. The one night only presentation in Newcastle will be Dr Galdikas’ only Australian lecture, MC’d by the charismatic ABC presenter Ann Jones. Tickets for Orangutans A Conservation Legacy are going fast. Funds raised from the lecture will assist Dr Galdikas in her continued work in Borneo.
This Inspiring Australia NSW initiative is supported by the Australian Government as part of National Science Week.
