National Science Week kicks off at the Queensland Academy for Science Mathematics and Technology with an assembly of some of Queensland's greatest scientific minds. Esteemed guests include Professor Kerrie Wilson (Queensland Chief Scientist), Professor Michael Milford (robotics expert) and Associate Professor Jacq Romero (expert in quantum information). Each guest will deliver an inspirational speech, which will be followed by a 'Question and Answer' session, where QASMT students will find out the answers to some of their most pressing questions.
Attending special guests will engage in a range of scientific challenges including creating dry ice bubbles, magnetic slime and their very own lava lamps. QASMT students are excited to have the opportunity to discuss their own scientific research with the attending experts.
