Discover the Power of Energy Choices!

Have you ever wondered how we could use the power of atoms to make electricity? Join us for an exciting and interactive event during National Science Week to explore the fascinating topic of nuclear power in Australia!

In this fun and engaging card game, you'll learn all about nuclear power and its potential role in providing energy for our future. You'll get to be part of lively discussions and make important decisions just like real scientists, policymakers, and community leaders do.

What Will You Do?

  1. Learn and Play: We'll start by teaching you some cool facts about nuclear energy, like how it works and why it's different from other types of energy like solar and wind.
  2. Join the Debate: You'll join small groups to discuss the pros and cons of using nuclear power. Should we use it to reduce pollution? What about the risks? Everyone's opinion matters!
  3. Make Decisions: Using special cards, you'll decide what you think is the best energy plan for Australia. It's like being in charge of the country's energy future!
  4. Share Your Ideas: After making your decisions, you and your group will share your ideas with everyone. You'll get to hear what others think too and see how different viewpoints can lead to different choices.

The cards are available for download here: https://playdecide.eu/en/node/169219
