Ready to make a real impact on our environment? The students at North Gosford Learning Centre will have a hands-on experience where they'll help create crucial habitats for native bees and plant native flowers they thrive on.
This event is perfect for students passionate about conservation and looking to learn more about how these essential pollinators support our ecosystem. Students will get to build bee hotels, dig and plant, and gain valuable insights into environmental stewardship.
Students will begin with a lesson on native solitary and hive bees of the Central Coast. They’ll build solitary bee hives from bamboo and wood, plant a garden with native and cottage flowers, and position a Tetragonula carbonaria hive using compasses and sun/shade analysis for the perfect garden spot.
