Prehistoric Bayside – Curator’s talk

  • - (AEST)
  • Bayside Gallery
Corner Wilson and Carpenter Streets, Brighton VIC 3186, Australia

Underneath the waves of Bayside, the fossils of giant predators that once swam on our coastline are slowly being revealed. From the largest shark that ever existed to the 'Demon-ducks of Doom', these fossils are being discovered by palaeontologist Ben Francischelli and a team of citizen scientists.

These July school holidays, join us for a special, exclusive Curator's talk. Ben will be revealing the 'deadliest ocean that ever existed' and bringing along a number of fossils that are changing the way in which we understand prehistoric Bayside!

This event is held in association with the exhibition Prehistoric Bayside, on display at Bayside Gallery from 29 June - 25 August 2024.

Suitable for Ages 6+
