RMIT Women in STEM Conference

The RMIT Women in STEM Conference is designed to provide students and staff at RMIT a chance to connect and engage with various aspects of STEM.

This interactive conference will explore the National Science Week schools theme Species Survival: More than just sustainability. There will be practical activities, speakers, and industry experts.

Students will have the opportunity to connect with alumnae, explore their own STEM superpowers and enjoy a free lunch. The conference is designed primarily for current and past RMIT VE students however is open to RMIT students and staff of all genders who support gender equity in STEM.

Join the event on Wednesday 21st August 2024 at RMIT City Campus (Megaflex 008.04.013) or virtually via Microsoft Teams and celebrate National Science Week. You can join for some or all of the conference.

  • 9:30-10am (hybrid) Welcome and keynote address.
  • 10-11am (hybrid) Interactive panel discussion. Ask questions, learn where they’ve taken their career and hear their advice.
  • 11-11:20am (in-person only) Catered morning tea.
  • 11:20am-12:30pm (in-person only) Participate in one of our practical STEM workshops.
  • 12:30-1:30pm (in-person only) Join us for a catered lunch, Women in STEM VE and networking.
