Science Night with Nate Byrne

  • - (AEST)
  • Queensland Museum Kurilpa
Level 1, Corner of Grey and Melbourne Streets, South Bank, South Brisbane QLD 4101, Australia

Slip into SparkLab at Queensland Museum Kurilpa for an adults-only night of science with the incandescent Nate Byrne.

He’s a meteorologist, oceanographer, science communicator and well-known ABC personality. Let this all-rounder take you on a journey around the world to celebrate National Science Week.

Science Night includes:

  • Nate Byrne’s take on a smorgasbord of science subjects.
  • Nate will explore the huge 1.8m diameter Science on a Sphere globe suspended from the ceiling of SparkLab, investigating datasets from across the universe.
  • Adults-only access to our interactive STEM space, SparkLab. This hands-on, selfie-friendly area includes 40 interactive exhibits across three zones. Science Night is a rare opportunity to access the whole space with an adults-only audience.
  • Live science experiments.
  • Music by SEESEE.
  • Drinks available at the pop up bar for anyone seeking extra fizz or bubble.

Make a date with Nate this National Science Week.

This event will be Auslan interpreted. Our events are cashless, EFTPOS only.

All other areas of Queensland Museum Kurilpa close at the usual time of 5pm.
