We are running a competition for local early education and primary schools. To enter this competition, students need to create an A4 poster on this years theme. Any artistic style is suitable, although students are encouraged to be creative and re-use materials that are a threat to species if allowed to pollute the environment.
We will also be supporting local primary school and pre schools to run activities such as
Using a digital microscope and look at flowers and insect
Measure the diameter of eucalyptus trees in centimeters to estimate the trees age in years
Look at and sketch insects in resin kit to explore lifecycles
Sweep an area of your oval to see what insects you can find
Collect features to find evidence of bird species by collecting feathers
