Code Club is about fun, creativity, and learning through exploring; making friends and experiencing the fun of learning and playing with code.
For this special National Science Week session, we will be creating an animation to tell the story of Tagai, a sea hero of the Torres Straits, and what constellations he is part of, using the voices of students from Tagai College. This is a Code Club Australia Moonhack 2022 project and we acknowledge the Torres Strait Islanders as the traditional custodians of this story.
Please note:
• The library has limited equipment so we ask that children bring their laptops if possible.
• Children need to bring a USB or be prepared to create an online coding account in Scratch, to be able to save their work.
• Parents/guardians MUST be present in the library, within the eyesight of children, while the class is in session.
Minimum requirements for own devices: Windows 10+, macOS 10.13+, Chrome OS, or Android 6.0+. You can use the online version during the session or download Scratch to your device beforehand.
