The team at SPARQ-ed and the University of Queensland (UQ) Faculty of Medicine have planned an exclusive National Science Week event this August for First Nations students of Queensland, with the help of the UQ Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Studies Unit, InspireU and the DeadlyScience crew!

SPARQ-ed will introduce Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander high school students in Years 8-12 to the science behind cancer research and explore the connections between STEM subject choices and career pathways. This 2-day event will consist of one full day at SPARQ-ed in Woolloongabba, followed by a full day at UQ St Lucia Campus. 

The event is limited to four schools, who will each select 7 students across Years 8 - 12 to represent their school at this free event. Catering and transport costs are included.
