Our Super STEM Challenge has involved each of our 17 classes. They received a design brief based on the Olympic Games. Each class then built a model of a game (with moving parts for years 3 to 6) and wrote a blurb/ poster to explain what their model is and facts about their game from the 2024 Games. They will be provided with materials to use to complete the project. The whole school, from Kindergarten to Year 6, will be involved in researching and then building a model and presenting their class project to a panel of judges.
They will be involved with engaging, hands-on activities that will engage them and integrate STEM skills into their everyday life. This project will focus on co-operation, problem solving and a sense of curiosity of the world via the Olympics Games that are being held.
The final class projects will be displayed for the whole school to walk through and then during a school assembly. Several will be then placed in the library for all students and parents to observe.
