Immerse yourself in a world where science meets art, curiosity knows no bounds and discovery awaits at every turn.

 

This National Science Week, bring science to life with SciFest 2024. We are throwing open laboratory doors and transporting science into the everyday. Head back to science class with interactive activities, games, live stage shows and talks. Explore the wonders of science, technology, engineering, maths, medicine and the arts.

SciFest is for all ages, from curious kids to inquisitive adults. The festival features an array of activities that will spark your imagination and curiosity, including:

  • Ecosystem Encounters: Dive into the world of frogs, snakes and crocs! Get up close and personal with our interactive reptile, frog, and bug displays. 
  • Live Chemistry Experiments: Witness thrilling chemistry experiments with our resident mad scientists.
  • Creative Clash: Human v Machine: Discover how humans and AI approach creativity differently in this interactive talk. 
  • Stargazing: Peer into the cosmos with telescopes or immerse yourself in the wonders of the universe in the planetarium. 
  • Chem Class in a Glass: Head back to School and learn the art (and science) of mixing cocktails. This event is ticketed and strictly for 18+
  • Exhibitions and Installations: Explore over 40 captivating exhibitions and installations showcasing the impact of science on the world in creative and educational ways.

Location Information

The Roundhouse is easily accessible via public transport and the closest light rail stop is UNSW Anzac Parade (L3 line). For more information, call the Transport infoline on 131 500 or visit transportnsw.info. Paid casual and visitor parking is offered via the CellOPark App and ‘pay by plate meters’ in all UNSW car parks. For more information head here, and the closest car park is the Western Campus Car Park is located here, on Anzac Parade next to NIDA. This car park can be accessed via Western Campus Drive through Day Avenue.
