201 Sayers Road, Truganina VIC 3029, Australia

Al-Taqwa College proudly presents our inaugural solar panel car competition with our Year 7 students. Students will first design and construct a vehicle powered by solar panels. They will then participate in a race covering 10-metre distance. Throughout the process, students employ the design thinking process to identify strategies on enhancing the speed of their vehicles. This involves making adjustments to the panel wheels, the vehicle's height, and its overall shape.

Our students will think like engineers, going through the planning, designing and testing of their vehicles using a trial-and-error approach. The primary objective is to steer our students toward environmentally sustainable vehicles and the utilization of clean energy, aligning with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)- SDG7- Affordable and clean energy, SDG9- Industry, innovation, and infrastructure and SDG11- Sustainable cities and communities.
