Grab your khakis and get ready for an action-packed safari across National Science Week at Coomera State School! Discover and unlock the secrets of how creatures big and small thrive and survive, and dive into exciting activities that show just how all species are connected. Students are invited to attend an array of activities during their lunch breaks.
Monday: We kick things off with our whole school Science Competition Expo. All students are invited to place a vote for the Student Choice Award.
Tuesday: Critter Camouflage—Be a wildlife detective in a camouflage investigation to uncover how animals use camouflage to increase their chances of survival.
Wednesday: Pollinator Drinking Cups- Students will learn about the importance of bees to human survival and how we can assist their chances of survival. Following this, they will design and make their very own pollinator drinking cup for their garden at home!
Thursday: Students will test their science knowledge in the official National Science Week Quiz on Kahoot.
Friday: The week wraps up with a spectacular whole school Street Science Stage Show curated to this year's theme: Save our Species: Our Survival Depends on Theirs!
