Species Survival - Walk through event

  • - (AWST)
  • Bunbury Catholic College
Rodsted Street, Bunbury WA 6230, Australia

Species survival can only happen if everyone gets involved! Come and meet a beekeeper and hear from our students about the importance of bees to species survival. See the bees in their hive, find the queen bee, taste honey from the honeycomb, and learn about the effect of varroa mite on bee biosecurity. Make a model of a bee, get some seeds to help the bees, and enter the competitions! Play sustainability games developed by our Year 8 students and read story books about endangered species written and illustrated by Year 7 students. Look at the Australian environment displays and enter the Science Week quiz. There are prizes to be won.
