Is it important to you to share your passion for Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math (STEAM)? How can you make a difference and lead young people and communities towards loving and trusting your work? This hands-on course is an overview of strategies used by the best STEAM communicators to effectively connect with school students and general public.

Presented by Carla Eisemberg Director of the Radicle Centre for Science and Technology Engagement at Charles Darwin University.

This workshop is provided free for National Science Week volunteers. 

Learning outcomes

  1. Overview of engagement projects implementation, including creating, planning, delivering and reporting. 
  2. Ethics considerations in a STEM engagement and communication program context.
  3. Reflect on your communication and engagement strengths and weaknesses and how to develop your STEM engagement and communication skills.
