  • - (AEST)
  • Cyril Callister Museum
23 Neill Street, Beaufort VIC 3373, Australia

Cyril's Lab is a new science space at the Cyril Callister Museum, which celebrates Australian scientist Dr Cyril Callister and his invention Vegemite.

Visit Cyril's Lab during National Science Week to get hands-on with fun science experiments and demonstrations using Australia's iconic spread, and even make your very own Vegemite caviar.

During your visit you might hear from museum manager Liza Robertson, and Samuel Varjabedian, a science student from Federation University, Ballarat, who is the Cyril Callister Foundation's inaugural scholarship winner. The foundation supports young people from regional areas to study science and aims to inspire and engage young people with storytelling about this local Australian invention.

Then, explore the rest of Cyril Callister Museum, which showcases the life, work and legacy of Dr Callister.

This special Science Week event is suitable for children aged 10 years and older. Entry is free but bookings are essential.

Cyril's Lab is also open Saturday 17 August.
