Join us for one big day of science at the Queen Victoria Museum and Art Gallery in Launceston for National Science Week 2024.
Play with magnets, pretend penguin eggs, and polarising filters; look at replica and genuine Antarctic artefacts; take a photo in our snow tent; chat to our staff about your Antarctic history and science questions.
Whether you’re in kindergarten or retired, we’ve got something for you.
The Mobile Antarctic Classroom is on tour before the Australian Antarctic Festival (22 - 25 August), presented by the Mawson’s Huts Foundation.
This National Science Week event is supported by Events Tasmania.
An accessible toilet is in the building. Parking is available beside the building and an accessible car park is close to the front door. For information on the Queen Victoria Museum and Art Gallery, please see https://www.qvmag.tas.gov.au
