How will you science?
This National Science Week, we’re excited to have you on our beautiful Gatton campus. Experience everything UQ Science has to offer – from world-class facilities to a thriving student community and passionate teachers. On this beautiful campus, which dates to 1897, you'll find teaching and research facilities in agricultural, environmental, and veterinary sciences. It's also a working farm, with more than 1000 hectares of dairy, crop, and grazing units, as well as post-harvest facilities and greenhouses. Gatton's facilities sit against a backdrop of homesteads, sporting amenities and community fruit and vegetable gardens.
We welcome everyone to chat to staff and current students at the information marquees lining the Central Walkway. Get answers to questions about studying different fields of science including agriculture, environment and veterinary.
You can also participate in tours of the campus and world class facilities and attend a study area and find out what is being taught.
The day is also about fun! Grab some popcorn, soak up the scenery and catch some live music.
Gatton, UQ’s rural campus, is in the Lockyer Valley, 87 kilometres west of Brisbane’s city centre, and halfway between Ipswich and Toowoomba.
