  • - (AEST)
  • Nunawading Library
379 Whitehorse Road, Nunawading VIC 3131, Australia

Discover the interwoven history of textiles and computer science.

This event is part of the Whitehorse Manningham Library's weeklong program of From Craft to Code events. Weaving in Sequences is a hands-on introduction to textile creation, echoing the intricate designs of computerised Jacquard looms on small cardboard looms. Using compact, user-friendly tools, explore basic weaving techniques. Beginners will confidently create unique patterns using simple over-and-under motions. This introduction to traditional weaving combines craft with the history of computer hardware.

No experience is required for this fun and relaxing introduction to weaving!
