This year's Young Tassie Scientists are University of Tasmania scientists who are keen to share their work through interactive talks and hands-on activities in Tasmanian schools and communities during National Science Week.

  • Eloise Bennett (She/her), Marine scientist - Marine biology & seaweed physiology 
  • Gen Bautista (He/him), Zoology - UTAS College of Sciences & Engineering, School of Natural Sciences (Zoology),
  • Olly Johnstone (He/him), Neuroscientist - Motor Neurone Disease
  • Saranya Viswanathan (She/ her), Neuroscientist - Brain and body connection
  • Shasta Henry (She/her), Entomologist - Insect identification
  • Victoria Roy (She/her), Medical Researcher - Blood typing and Microbiology
  • Vimarsha Kodithuwakku (She/her), Medical scientist - Heart Health
