Three days, more than 2000 visitors, 10 litres of liquid nitrogen and some awesome Space Lego have all come together to create a very memorable inaugural TAStroFest.
It has been a very busy last few days with a combined 12 lectures and workshops, 8 planetarium sessions and science shows, 2 meet the author visits and 1 night sky viewing to keep everyone occupied.
The Young Tassie Scientists were an absolute winner for the school science shows and there are definitely some budding new scientists created after this weekend. The feedback is overwhelmingly positive with plans to move this pilot program into full gear for TAStroFest – Tasmania’s Astronomy Festival in the coming years.
