SA National Science Week grants open
National Science Week 10-18 August is Australia’s annual celebration of science, technology, engineering, maths and medicine. The week features more than 1000 events around Australia, including those delivered by universities, schools, research institutions, libraries, museums, and science centres.
The Grants are open to any sole trader, community group, organisation, business, industry body or university.
Grants are now open for projects and activities delivered in South Australia.
– $2500 for events and activities in metropolitan Adelaide
– $3000 for events and activities in regional and remote areas
Key Dates:
- Applications close: 5pm 15 May.
- Grants recipients announced: early June.
- Grant events live on National Science Week website: 30 June.
- National Science Week: 10-18 August.

Briefing and networking event: 30 April
You’re invited to a briefing about Inspiring SA and National Science Week grants and programs for 2024.
Enjoy afternoon tea while you network with other science engagement and science communication specialists.
Tuesday 30 April
3:30-5pm ACST at the South Australian Museum
After the briefing you are invited to enjoy an exclusive private viewing of the 2024 Waterhouse Natural Science Art Prize until 6pm.
There will be opportunities to ask questions about the grants and programs.
Plus, the announcement of the new South Australian National Science Week Ambassador.
This event will be hybrid; online participation is encouraged.
