Do you have an idea that will increase the awareness and understanding of the role of science, technology, and innovation in everyday life and our future?
These grants provide funding for individuals and organisations to run inspiring events and produce STEM-based content during National Science Week.
These grants aim to assist with the running of an event or the production and launch of online/physical STEM material during Science Week. A maximum of two grants per applicant is allowed. Three types of grants are available:
- Remote Science Week Community Grants: for events in towns and communities outside of major centres (minimum of $250 and maximum of $3,000 per application).
- Major Centres Science Week Community Grants: for events in cities and towns with a population of more than 10,000 people (minimum of $250 and maximum of $1,500 per application).
- Major Community Event: for a major community event with broad audience reach (maximum $20,000 per application).
Schools are welcome to apply, as long as their project has a community component.
