South Australia State Grant Recipients for National Science Week 2024

The South Australian National Science Week committee are delighted to announce the 19 recipients of the 2024 SA National Science Week grants.

With projects all over the state from the APY Lands to Mount Gambier, there are projects across the state with something for everyone.

Activities include 3D printing, building bird houses, learning about tessellation through quilting and so much more.

The 2024 grants recipients are:

  • Discovering Hygiene in Sport with Glitter Bugs and Dino Lites – Adelaide Crows Foundation
  • 2024 Adelaide MedTech Hackathon – Adelaide MedTech Hackathon
  • Cambrai Star Party: A Mid-Murray Night’s Dream – Astronomical Society of SA
  • STEMM Futures Forum and Innovation Lab – City of Mount Gambier
  • Science in the South – Family Edition – City of Onkaparinga – Woodcroft Library
  • Arduino Robotics Coding Classes for people from CALD backgrounds and Girls aged 10-16 years – City of Campbelltown Library
  • Reef Watch regional Reef Rambles – Conservation Council of SA
  • Community Engagement with the Southern Right Whale Citizen Science Program – Fleurieu Marine Education
  • Dancing with Diprotodons – Heaps Good Productions
  • Bringing STEM to kids in hospital – Inventor Kids
  • Australian animals for pre-schoolers at KidsWorld Barossa – Kids World Barossa
  • Innovate and Create: A Week of 3D Printing Exploration for Young People – Municipal Council of Roxby Downs
  • Dirt Fest in the Murraylands and Riverland – Murraylands and Riverland Landscape Board
  • Symmetry in Stitches: Exploring Tessellations in Quilted Coaster – SA Country Women’s Association
  • “A Window on SAHMRI” Open Day – SAHMRI
  • Night Lab: Camouflage (a masquerade) – South Australian Museum
  • Weird Science afternoon – Town of Walkerville
