‘The Future-Makers’ is a local scale model building project visualising how the sciences of climate and light will continue to powerfully combine to reshape Canberra’s energy profile over the next decade.
The first building workshops for this project are especially for schools in the Wanniassa area to book and participate in from 22 July to 22 August, which includes National Science Week and at the STEM Careers Expo.
Students and teachers will be invited to help guide, develop, discuss, build and launch two scale models: a Concentrated Solar Power plant (pictured) and an entire regional Zero Carbon Canberra scale model.
The workshops are free – email the workshop coordinator to book in.
